The Collection
Somewhere between bonsai orchestra and over-filled rock band lies the Collection, a band who's name is as self-descriptive as it is ambiguous. With an army of instruments and influences, the 7+ member ensemble creates songs layered with strings, brass, and woodwinds, crescendoing like a gigantic wave crashing on a shore of folk melodies and rock rhythms. The vocal ranges echo the myriad of instrumental textures, accompanying death and hope filled lyrics, weaving in and out of spiritual survival and thriving. But, though there are many seemingly different elements that make up who the Collection is, the sound is a unified one, the sound of a family with a common name; And that's what the Collection is and invites us to be - a big family.
Lowland Hum
Lowland Hum
Lowland Hum is an art-folk band based in Charlottesville, Virginia made up of husband-wife team Daniel and Lauren Goans. The duo has toured extensively since the band's inception in 2013 to support their two full length albums and one EP, and both their live show and studio releases have garnered critical acclaim from the likes of NPR, the Washington Post, American Songwriter and others. Lowland Hum's songs have been described as poetic and evocative, and their arrangements minimal, hushed and dynamic. Their third full length album will be released in early 2017.
Lomelda - (Set time: 8:00 PM)
Lomelda is a band from Waco, TX. Lead by the songwriting of Hannah Read, the group creates music that is both accessible and exploratory, nostalgic and challenging. Read’s simple guitar stylings range from mellow, woody rhythmic patterns to heavy droning textures, while the dynamic drumming of Zach Daniel adds weight to the subtleties of the songs. It’s all about the same things: communication, comedic timing, anger management, memory making/retention, etc. – the usual. It’s pop-sensitive, soul drone, sentimental space rock.

They currently have limited knowledge of html / css, but they are doing their best to get acquainted with it (also currently youtube researching modular synthesis and nyc – and happy to receive info from experts, hobbyists, whoever – see contact info). What is the internet? What is forever? What is Lomelda?

Lomelda’s first full length LP – Forever – documents a collection of those moments that seem to hold it all. In hindsight, of course. As inspired by geography and potamology, the album moves you from place to place and flows from song to song. Forever was released on October 30, 2015, via Punctum Records.
